Thomas Brown was born to John Brown and was baptised on 27 November 1721 in Billingham, near Durham on the edge of Middlesborough, England.

He married Margaret Harrison (1721-1764) on 24 Apr 1744 in Forcett, North Yorkshire. Children:

John Brown was christened 2 Apr 1745 at Ovington near Forcett. He married Ann Dodds on 15 Jan 1775 in Billingham. He died on 23 Jun 1808.

Thomas died 27 Dec 1795 in Mansfield, Yorkshire, England
