George Darling Watt 
      George was born 18 May 1812 to James Watt and Mary Ann Wood in Manchester, England. He was baptised on 21 Jun 1812 in the St. George's Church in Manchester.

      George married Mary Gregson on 13 Jun 1835 in Preston, Lancashire, England. A few years after their marriage they joined the Mormon Church and emigrated to Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, USA to join the Saints who were gathering there. Mary died 24 May 1856 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, USA. They had 3 children:
      1. James Watt born 14 Jul 1837 in Preston, Lancashire, England. He died 1 Jan 1843 in Alton, Madison, Illinois, USA.
      2. Willard Richards Watt born 23 Jul 1840 in Preston, England. He died 29 Dec 1842 in Alton, Illinois.
      3. GeorgeDarling Watt, Jr. born 17 Jun 1843 in Nauvoo, Illinois. He died 15 Jun 1928 in Pony, Madison, Montana, USA.


      George married Jane Brown, his half-sister, on 5 Jan 1852 in Salt Lake City. She died 6 May 1891 in Red Cloud, Webster, Nebraska, USA.
